Le GIE se dote de moyens Tribologiques

ALCATEL VACUUM Technologie partenaire privilégié du GIE et de Cératronic Recherche met à disposition son expertise dans la mise au point de machine de tribologie. Cet équipement est désormais à la disposition du GIE et de ses membres pour la détermination des coefficients de frottement dynamiques des revêtements mis en œuvre au sein du GIE. Cet équipement vient compléter le parc de machines d’essai de frottement mode industriel. En effet, le GIE a fait l’acquisition d’une machine Dolex en provenance de Messier Dowty, pour la détermination des usures et des coefficients de frottement en essai de rotulage, essai typique de référence des couples axes-bagues sur les trains d’atterissage.

Après 3 années d'effort entre Ceratronic Recherche, Messier Bugatti et le Laboratoire des Sciences et Génie des Surfaces (Nancy). Monsieur Tillous Kessein a brillament soutenu une thèse pour l'obtention du titre de Docteur de l'Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine, à Nancy le 20 juin 2006, intitulée : "Contribution à l'étude de l'aluminium et de ses alliages 2214-T6 et 7050-T74 transformés par oxydation micro-arcs".
Cette thèse s'inscrit dans la stratégie de Cératronic Recherche dans le but d'accroître sa position de leader dans le domaine.

HARMONY ADVANCED SURFACE TECHNOLOGIES était présent lors de la 2ème conférence internationale sur les système lamellaires pour la protection anti corrosion. HARMONY ADVANCED SURFACE TECHNOLOGIES a accueillie 2 éléves de la Section de Technicien Supérieur Matériaux du Lycée Jean Mermoz de St Louis (Ht Rhin), partenaire de l’enseignement supérieur du GIE.
Pendant 2 mois, ces élèves ont complété leur formation en traitements des matériaux en se faimiliarisant avec les nouveaux traitements de surfaces dans un espace industriel avec des problémtiques industrielles.

PROGRAMME A3TS BORDEAUX
Le GIE Harmony participera à Bordeaux les 4,5 et 6 octobre 2006 au 34ème Congrès du Traitement Thermique et de L'Ingénierie des Surfaces.
Partenaire du GIE Harmony, l'A3TS souhaite vous y recevoir nombreux lors de cette importante manifestation dans le monde du Traitement Thermique et Traitement de Surface.

CERATRONIC RECHERCHE were actively involved in the work leading to the publication of the following article :
“Diagnostics of an electrolytic microarc process for aluminium alloys oxidation”, F. Mecuson, SCT11122, Surface & Coatings Technology, may be obtained through internet at the following address : http://authors.elsevier.com.





CERATRONIC RECHERCHE have embarked on the Airbus A380. Micro-Arc Oxidation was adopted by Liebherr Aerospace Toulouse for the tribological coating on pneumatic pressure regulator valves for the largest civil aircraft in the world.



Research and Development

UCT France DEFENSE has just been awarded a research and development contract (reference AF05-129) by the US Air Force in the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) field. UCT France will be present with Rolls Royce Aerospace in this project to provide a solution to the fretting problem observed on gear boxes between the bronze bearings and the aluminium alloy casing used on military aircraft.

Congress

HARMONY ADVANCED SURFACE TECHNOLOGIES was present at the 33^rd French Heat Treatment and Surface Treatment Engineering Congress in Rheims from 15 to 17 June 2005 (www.A3TS.org).

The Group and its members were present on their stand in the surface treatment area of the new A3TS (Heat Treatment and Surface Treatment Federation).

Research carried out by the Economic Interest Group was revealed in a presentation given by Mr. Jacques Ducarme (LC Système) for Thalès, Barco View, Eurocopter, Hurel Hispano, Hispano-Suiza, Matra Bae Dynamics, Messier-Bugatti, Messier Dowty, Sagem, Sonaca, Liebherr Aerospace, Snecma Motors, Snecma Services, Techspace Aéro and Turboméca. It covers a new hexavalent-chromium-free chemical conversion process for aluminium alloys – Surtec's Chromital 650.
Finally Alain Viola presented the result of research carried out with Lisi Aerospace, Messier-Bugatti, Whyco and Doerken Mks Système into the influence of surface treatment not involving cadmium on the properties of screw-and-nut systems used in aeronautics.



HARMONY ADVANCED SURFACE TECHNOLOGIES are playing host to three students from the Materials HND section of the Jean Mermoz de St Louis Lycée, the further education establishment that works in close conjunction with the Economic Interest Group.
Students will have two months to discover new surface treatment processes in an industrial context and to become familiar with new techniques.
